초청의 글

It is my great pleasure and honor to extend greetings and warmest welcome to you for attending the 2020 Fall International Convention of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK). We hope you have been well in the COVID-19 pandemic that continues to take a heavy toll on our beloved families, communities and nations. We had to cancel the Spring Convention and had lots of discussion for this decision to host the Fall Convention as the first ever virtual conference for the PSK, which will be held October 21-23, 2020 at the K-hotel Seoul as the broadcasting venue for the speakers.


This 2020 Fall Convention with the theme of "Sharing Vision and Values for Pharmaceutical Science and Care Communities" will help share our vision and mission for drug discovery and development in the hope that we’re all in this together and that we can only succeed together in this period of uncertainty.


This virtual conference consists of twenty-one symposia and four bio-symposia focusing on the infectious diseases regarding the current pandemic and the cutting-edge technologies in biologics and microbiome-based pharmabiotics. These will provide the latest information on the trending topics in academic, industrial, and clinical aspects of pharmaceutical sciences.
I also proudly introduce the plenary lectures by professors, Jae Gook Shin, Taeghwan Hyeon, Kong-Joo Lee, and GwangPyo Ko as well as the PSK Award Lecture by professor Young-Joon Surh and the Ohdang Award lecture by professor Young-Ger Suh. They have made dazzling achievements to pharmaceutical sciences and also had a pivotal role as an educator, an IBS director, a special assistant to president, or an entrepreneur. I humbly expect that the present program will be the present for us that consolidates the social networks and gives rise to the incredible acts of solidarity for pharmaceutical innovation even in this pandemic situation.


This would be the historic meeting for the PSK, and thus the beginning of a new era. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the PSK members and sincerely hope that everyone will experience the exciting moment on this conference web site, which will positively contribute to exchanging ideas and sharing values for the pharmaceutical science and service communities.
