Welcome message

Dear esteemed members of The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK),

It is my utmost pleasure and honor to extend warm greetings and a sincere invitation to join us at the prestigious 2023 Fall International Convention of PSK, themed " Exploring the Frontiers of Pharmaceutical Sciences". The convention will take place in person from October 25th to the 27th at the Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center. We commence this year's event with a captivating plenary lecture by the esteemed Professor, Sang Kook Lee, delving into "Navigation for Bioactive Natural Products". Additionally, we have the privilege of presenting Professor, Jin Tae Hong's 2023 Ohdang Award lecture on the fascinating subject of "CHI3L1, a Therapeutic target in the development of cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, and autoimmune diseases".

Our conference boasts 24 symposia that will shed light on groundbreaking advancements in all areas of pharmaceutical research, drug discovery and development. Furthermore, we take great pride in introducing a diverse array of captivating presentations and posters delivered by our brilliant young scientists and students. These lectures and poster sessions promise to offer cutting-edge insights into various pharmaceutical research disciplines, foster collaborative initiatives, and address pertinent challenges. By bringing together PSK members and researchers from across the diverse countries, we aim to strengthen cooperation, networks, and international collaborations. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all PSK members, and I sincerely hope you will seize the opportunity to join us in person at the convention. Your presence will undoubtedly bolster the PSK's mission and its underlying philosophy. In this conference, just like the Spring conference, we will continue the implementation of the Outstanding Young Researcher Award to support our young scientists in their pursuit of excellence. The captivating Suncheon Bay, with its accessibility and charm, sets the perfect stage for this gathering. Apart from the Convention Center, you can relish breathtaking landscapes, explore cultural attractions, and partake in Suncheonman International Garden Expo 2023. Altogether, the PSK 2023 Fall International Convention will serve as an excellent platform for fruitful discussions and the sharing of innovative pharmaceutical ideas.

Basic Information

International Participant Check / Modify Registration

Members are requested to pay the annual membership fee for the year 2023 before proceeding with the registration for the conference.
Pre-registration fees can be paid through the following methods: 'Credit Card Payment', 'Bank Transfer', or 'In-person Card Payment at the PSK Office (Seocho-dong, Seoul)'.
Pre-registration cancellations and refunds are accepted until October 20th (Friday).
If it is difficult to make a research fund payment by credit card within the pre-registration period, you can make a pre-payment with a personal card (bank transfer not available) and then submit a 'Pre-registration Cancellation and Payment Change Request' form via email (psk1946@psk.or.kr). We will assist you with payment changes at the conference venue. (The Pre-registration Cancellation and Payment Change Request form can be downloaded from the bottom of the Pre-registration information page.)
The participation fee for the Banquet is KRW 20,000. (Applicable for Regular Members, Lifetime Members, and Public Office Members)
For those who were unable to apply for the Banquet during pre-registration, you can apply through the 'Banquet Tickets (Members Only)' page. Banquet participation fees must be paid by October 13th (Friday), and in case of non-payment, applications will be canceled for those on the waiting list.

Payment Methods

Credit Card Payment

If you choose to pay by credit card, your pre-registration will be processed immediately, and you can proceed with submitting your abstract.
If you encounter any issues during the credit card payment process, please follow the instructions below:
*Edge/Chrome: Disable pop-up blocking for the PSK website before proceeding.
*Internet Explorer: Add the PSK website to compatibility view settings and proceed.
Manual transactions for credit card information over the phone are not accepted.

Bank Transfer

When you choose bank transfer, your pre-registration will be processed within 3 hours after the payment is confirmed (payments made after 6:00 PM on weekdays will be processed the next morning, and weekend payments will be processed on Monday morning).

Once the membership fee and pre-registration payment are confirmed, a "Payment Confirmation Email" will be sent.

If you wish to make an in-person payment, please email us (psk1946@psk.or.kr) in advance with the payment details (names of individuals registering, membership type, payment details, preferred visit time).

Cancellation and Payment Change for Pre-registration

To cancel pre-registration or change your payment method (e.g., card update), please download the application form provided below, fill it out, and then submit it via email to psk1946@psk.or.kr.
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during registration. (For credit card payments, a credit card authorization cancellation will be made; for bank transfers, the refund will be processed to the provided bank account.)
Once the refund process is completed, you will receive a "Refund Process Completed Email" at the email address you provided on the application form. (Please allow 1-2 days for processing of the application form.)
If you wish to change your on-site payment method to research funds on the day of the conference, please proceed with credit card payment exclusively.

Invited Speaker Abstract

Invited Speaker Abstract Submission Poster Abstract Submission Confirming and Modifying Submitted Abstracts

Please select the session where you have been invited as a speaker from the session list.
If the invited speaker is a member, please complete the pre-registration process first. If not, you can submit your abstract without pre-registration.
Detailed information regarding the invited speaker arrangement will be provided individually.

Poster Abstract

2023 Fall Travel Award

When submitting your abstract, you can apply for the 2023 Travel Award.
The 2023 Travel Award provides financial support for poster presenters (poster presentation and poster oral presentation) attending the 2023 Fall International Convention of PSK who are under the age of 40 and have paid the membership fee for the current year (born in 1984 or later).
The recipients of the 2023 Travel Award will be announced on the website in early October 2023.

Poster Presentation

Poster presenters are required to prepare a presentation poster to be attached to the designated panel (95cm wide x 150cm high) at the convention venue. They must also participate in the scheduled standing time (including Q&A for outstanding posters).
Through poster standing evaluation, outstanding presenters will be selected and awarded certificates and prizes.

Poster Oral Presentation

Abstracts submitted for poster oral presentation will be evaluated, and selected presenters will participate in the Young Scientist Symposium. (Additional guidance will be provided by the office)
Poster oral presenters are required to create a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation within 7 minutes in English, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session.
Presenters should send their presentation PPT files to the conference office and prepare the physical poster to be attached to the designated panel (95cm wide x 150cm high).
All poster oral presenters will receive certificates and prizes, and they will also be selected as outstanding presenters through evaluation.

Notification for Non-Attachment of Posters

If posters are not attached to the designated location by 10:00 AM on the poster presentation day, they will be considered as non-attached.
If presenters do not participate during the poster standing time, it will be considered as non-attachment.
Non-attachment of posters will lead to exclusion from consideration for poster awards.

Accommodation

During the period of the conference, the 2023 National Sports Festival and the 35th Jeonnam Sports and Cultural Festival will be held in Jeonnam, which might make it difficult to secure accommodations. We recommend that you consider this and make your lodging reservations in advance.
